Eergewr Grass was first discovered by the shepherd Mēsh Joī 'Anabelle Pride' Ra̋chī Ha̋chīy Mä̋mp̪f̄ Hayles within the Tststogàiē Shrublands durring the early 18th century in late winter of the year 1739.
