The Cochian City-state

The Cochian City-state (also known as Cochi) is a a member of the League of Gnollish Cities, a loose alliance of nations in north western Eyom which loosly function as part of a greater whole. Its predominantly Gnollish citizens live within its 32,925 km², and primarily speak Zräysian.

Government and Politics

As with all of the gnollish city states, the Cochian City-state is ruled by a King or Queen. In Cochi, the sovereign is the most skilled mage of their generation, and supported by a powerful circle of mages.

The ruling class of Cochi are the heads of Cochi's many clans, with few exceptions. Their authority is has significant problems, but it functions, due to their current greatest asset, their firm economic control over the land. The largest issue currently facing Cochi is a diplomat has bungled something proper fierce.

Millitary

The Cochian City-state's millitary is ahead of the curve for Eyom, with few problems and a few serious advantages. It favors an antiquated millitary compossion with its troops being almost entirly infantry. It makes up for these shortfalls with mandatory conscription of sourcerors, and other mages. Cochi's millitary uses a balnce of arcane and technological based systems.

The millitary favors a doctrine of mission-type tactics in its millitary operations, but is willing and able to use others should the need arise. Cochi's armed forces are entirly of volenteers, which generaly view themselves as protectors of the people who bring an end to tyrany, by enforcing the will of the people.
