The Fùkām Steppe (/fʊ/ /cəˑm/ Barley [plant] [famous]) is a subtropical steppe on the coast of the Farmbasin region. Fùkām Steppe is a relatively typical steppe for Farmbasin, as well as Eyom as a whole.

While they follow the broader tennents of Wood Elf culture, they have diffrenciated themselves by adopting a tradition of impractical or elaborate role-based clothes and base their sence of individual idenity on far-flung clans of affiliated families. They also place greater cultural emphasus on education and knowledge-seeking and submission to lawful authority.

Tanuki

The Tanuki subculture native to the Fùkām Steppe are noticably same height and weight as the neighbors. While they follow the broader tennents of Wood Elf culture, they have diffrenciated themselves by adopting a tradition of painted skin markings that sometimes change and base their sence of individual idenity on professional guild or trade-specific group. They also place greater cultural emphasus on personal sacrifice for one’s causes or purposes and honesty and truthfulness in speech.

Kivu

The Kivu subculture native to the Fùkām Steppe are noticably either short and stocky or tall and slender. While they follow the broader tennents of Wood Elf culture, they have diffrenciated themselves by adopting a tradition of piercings, whether minor or elaborate and base their sence of individual idenity on warbands or civic military service groups. They also place greater cultural emphasus on societal or ethnic superiority over all outsiders and magical prowess and occult ability.

Local Religion

The Fùkām Steppe is overseen by Potentate Ithar Ælrenopto Aine, a god serving within The Apprenticeship, the region's principal religion. Approximately 12% of the population self-report as devout. The Fùkām Steppe is considered underserved by the divines despite shrines in all settled areas.

Settlements and Economy

Fùkām Steppe is predominantly economicly reiant on Farmbasin's export of Slaves, and has no outstanding industries byond what is required for its role in that process.
